Well in the end of September we all noticed a bit of change in the SERPS. Although not as big as the Florida update the effect was fairly dramatic for some of my sites.

Shortly after Matt Cutts announced that Google are indeed busy with another update. They call it the Caffeine Update, rather fitting I would say.

So far I have noticed very little effect on my local search rankings, but on Google.com several. It seems that the importance on well themed backlinks has moved up a notch and other type less useful backlinks have lost even more value.

Personally I like the update so far.
